Project Partner

Design Association Modus (Tampere, Finland) is a craft-and-design association that supports professional makers through hands-on development, mentoring, and visibility work. In CRAFT-TOUR, Modus acts as a maker-centred capacity-building and mobilisation partner: we help design and deliver the open call for craftsmen, provide practical guidance to applicants, and run mentoring and training that supports artisans in digitalisation, marketing, and sustainable craft innovation. We also contribute to the craft-tourism pilot call, helping ensure funded collaborations are attractive, feasible, and visible beyond the region.

With an experienced delivery team covering coordination, communications and methodology development, Modus supports partner coordination, documentation and evidence capture for reporting, and dissemination through established channels and networks. Rooted in Pirkanmaa’s vibrant maker community, Modus connects craftsmanship with audiences through events, exhibitions and storytelling, so that local skills translate into new opportunities, resilient businesses, and authentic craft experiences for visitors. Through its European partner network, Modus also connects Pirkanmaa’s makers to wider collaborations, peer learning, and international visibility.
